Sidemount Diving

Who is the sidemount course for?

For a lot of divers, sidemount is a great course to further refine skills, increase the margin of safety on dives by adding a redundant gas supply, and inspire the pursuit into technical diving. It is also great for those of us with bad backs and trick knees of the sorts. While it may look cumbersome, sidemount is a logistical dream when shore diving as you don't have to carry all of your gear into the water on your back in one trip. By having two independent tanks each with their own regulator setups  these can easily be carried down to the entry point one at a time and staged there prior to even donning your exposure suit. The tanks can then be attached to your harness in the water without trying to heft their full weight on dry land.
