     Where it all starts! The open water course consists of three parts: E-learning, confined water and open water. The E-learning allows students the opportunity to learn the do's and dont's of safe diving practices on their own time and provides a valuable knowledge base for the student to draw from and build upon during the course.

     During the confined water portion students will learn hands on the basics of diving and safety in a pool. Everything from how to setup gear, getting comfortable underwater, how to respond in case a dive buddy needs assistance, and how to remedy problems we as divers may face underwater, such as a leg cramp or a leaky mask. 

     The open water portion of the course is the opportunity for students to apply everything they've learned so far in real world situations and scenarios, as well as give them the opportunity to explore the underwater environment in a way most people only dream of.
